Young Playwrights
YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS is a residency program for English, theatre, and creative writing students grades 6-12. Over the course of three two-hour long sessions, a teaching artists guides students through the writing process, focusing on idea generation, dramatic structure, and revision. Each participant finishes the program having written an original ten-minute play, and select pieces are performed at the annual Young Playwrights Festival at the Weston Playhouse.
